Center Chas McFarland scored a season-high 23 shots, grabbed 13 rebounds and added two steals and two blocked shots to lead the Yokohama B-Corsairs to a 74-69 win over the Niigata Albirex BB on Thursday in Hiratsuka, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Niigata (3-3) won the bj-league series opener by six points on Wednesday in Yokohama.
The B-Corsairs' Justin Burrell finished with 19 points and seven boards, Kenji Yamada had 14 points and six assists and Marcus Simmons poured in 10 points. Guard Minoru Kimura had eight rebounds.
Yokohama (4-4) was 32-for-43 at the free-throw line, while Niigata was 13-for-20.
Kimitake Sato paced the Albirex with 17 points, including 3-for-4 from 3-point range. Nile Murry scored 14 points and James Keefe had 12.
