A day after clinching the Central League title, the Chunichi Dragons beat the Tokyo Yakult Swallows 4-1 in their final home game of the regular season on Wednesday.

Kazuki Yoshimi (18-3) threw two perfect innings from the bullpen to earn his CL-leading 18th win and reduce his league-best ERA to 1.65.

The Yomiuri Giants' Tetsuya Utsumi is second in both categories with 17 wins and a 1.74 ERA.

Without most of their regulars in the lineup, the Dragons built a 4-0 lead through four innings at Nagoya Dome.

Backup catcher Keiji Oyama opened the scoring with an RBI triple and scored on a sacrifice fly by Yohei Oshima for a 2-0 lead in the third.

Chunichi made it 4-0 in the fourth when veteran Takahiro Saeki followed a Ryosuke Hirata run-scoring triple with a base hit.

Swallows starter Katsuki Akagawa (6-3) gave up two runs in three innings.

Both teams each have one game remaining in the season.
