Yomiuri rookie pitcher Hirokazu Sawamura threw a one-hitter in his first career shutout and Hayato Sakamoto hit a two-run single as the Giants beat the Chunichi Dragons 4-0 on Saturday.
Sawamura (10-11) allowed his only hit in the second inning — a single to Ryosuke Hirata — and walked one while striking out seven.
Shinnosuke Abe opened the scoring with an RBI double in the third and Sakamoto capped a three-run fourth with his single to left off Junki Ito (2-4) at Nagoya Dome.
