Longtime Tokyo Apache guard Jumpei Nakama, coming off an All-Star season, has agreed to contractual terms for the 2011-12 season to play for the Shimane Susanoo Magic, the bj-league team announced on Tuesday.
Nakama, 28, averaged a career-high 11.6 points per game playing under ex-NBA bench boss Bob Hill last season. He scored a career-best 32 points on Feb. 5 against the Kyoto Hannaryz.
Of the Apache's core Japanese players from 2010-11, standout Cohey Aoki is the only one without a team for next season. Faced with financial problems, Tokyo is on hiatus until 2012-13.
