Terrmel Sledge broke open a two-run game with a pinch-hit grand slam in the fifth inning, leading the Yokohama BayStars to a 12-3 rout of the Chunichi Dragons on Wednesday.
Sledge extended the BayStars' lead to 7-1 when he drove a full-count fastball from reliever Ryosuke Oguma into the right-field seats at Yokohama Stadium.
Tatsuhiko Kinjo, Shuichi Murata and Tatsuya Shimozono also homered for the BayStars, who won their third straight game.
