Keisuke Honda scored his first brace for CSKA Moscow, the Japan midfielder striking twice in the opening half of a 3-0 away win to Kryliya Sovetov on Wednesday.

The two goals were Honda's first two goals in the Russian Premier League since last November.

Honda, who set up the winner in CSKA's victory in the Russian Cup final on Monday, buried a right-wing free kick into the top right corner after 13 minutes to push his team in front.

Honda doubled the lead in the last minute of the half, robbing a pass from the defense to fire home for the Army Men, who climbed up to fourth on the table, two points off the pace of leaders Lokomotiv.

The 24-year-old Honda is expected to be included in Japan's squad for the upcoming Kirin Cup matches against Peru and the Czech Republic, which will be announced Friday.
