The struggling Hanshin Tigers found a way to win on Tuesday night, cranking out the small ball and a blast by Takahiro Arai to get the job done to snap a four-game losing skid in a 5-3 victory over the Seibu Lions.

The win moved the Tigers out of last place in Central League.

Arai made his first hit in 18 at-bats a memorable one with a leadoff homer in the fourth inning that cut the deficit to 2-1 and Craig Brazell, Hiroki Uemoto and Keiichi Hirano tacked on three more runs in the frame in front of 27,323 at Koshien Stadium.
