Japan midfielder Shinji Kagawa is expected to be included in Borussia Dortmund's squad for their final league game of the season at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, according to a report Thursday in German soccer magazine Kicker.

"He hasn't been practicing physically heavy one-on-one situations but the signs from training are very good," Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp was quoted by the magazine as saying.

Kagawa has not played for the newly crowned Bundesliga champions since breaking his right metatarsal at the Asian Cup in January.

The former Cerezo Osaka star had led the team with eight goals in 17 league games before suffering the injury in Japan's semifinal victory over South Korea in Qatar, where the Blue Samurai lifted a record fourth Asian Cup.

He was initially expected to miss the remainder of the campaign for Dortmund, who won their first league championship in nine years with two matches remaining.
