The bj-league's Nagano Prefecture expansion team will be known as the Shinshu Brave Warriors, it was announced on Saturday.
The Brave Warriors will begin play in the fall of 2011 along with three other new teams: the Yokohama B-Corsairs, the Chiba Jets and a to-be-named Iwate Prefecture club.
Shinshu is an abbreviated name for the old province of Shinano (present-day Nagano), which during the Sengoku Period was the site of the fierce 15th century battles of Kawanakajima.
