Yomiuri right-hander Seth Greisinger has accepted a hefty pay cut in re-signing with the Giants, sources said Tuesday.

Greisinger, who went 0-2 with a 5.48 ERA in just six starts this year, has signed a one-year contract worth ¥80 million, following a ¥500 million, two-year deal through 2010.

The 35-year-old struggled with right elbow problems for much of the season.

In his first two seasons in Japan, Greisinger led the Central League in wins with 16 for the Yakult Swallows in 2007 and 17 for the Giants in 2008.
