KOBE (Kyodo) The Orix Buffaloes acquired former major league All-Star right-hander Park Chan Ho, the Pacific League team announced Monday.
Park, 37, will be introduced by Orix at a news conference in Seoul on Tuesday.
The South Korean broke Hideo Nomo's Asian record for most career wins in the majors in October, picking up his 124th victory with the Pittsburgh Pirates after starting the season with the New York Yankees.
Park, who spent the bulk of his 16-year career with the Los Angeles Dodgers, went 4-3 with a 4.66 ERA in 63 2/3 innings of middle relief this past season with Pittsburgh and New York.
