The numbers tell the story of all-out, jaw-dropping dominance: The Hamamatsu Higashimikawa Phoenix have seven more victories than any other team in the bj-league's Eastern Conference.
Their last — and only — loss of the season was on Oct. 23 against the Toyama Grouses. On Sunday, the defending champion Phoenix completed a two-game sweep of the visiting Akita Northern Happinets, winning 79-67 and extending their winning streak to 15 games.
Jeffrey Parmer paced Hamamatsu (17-1) with 16 points. Dzaflo Larkai contributed 15 points and 10 rebounds and Jermaine Dixon had 13 points and six assists, while Kazutoshi Ota also scored 13.
