Fueled by strong shooting, the Ryukyu Golden Kings extended their winning streak to four games on Sunday by trouncing the visiting Miyazaki Shining Suns 101-77.
The Golden Kings (10-6) drained 12 of 21 3-point shots and were 28-for-53 from inside the 3-point arc as they completed a series sweep against the Shining Suns, one of three bj-league expansion teams this season.
Carlos Dixon paced Ryukyu with 22 points, including 4-for-5 from long range. David Palmer had 17 points and Shigeyuki Kinjo scored 16 on 7-for-11 shooting (but no 3-point attempts). Veteran guard Yasufumi Takushi added 12 points, all coming on 3-pointers (4-for-6). All told, six Golden Kings scored in double figures.
