NISHINOMIYA, Hyogo Pref. (Kyodo) Free agent Tomoaki Kanemoto said Monday he is heading back to the Hanshin Tigers next year.

The 42-year-old said he wants the chance to "go ballistic" once more time after holding talks with the club for the third time.

"I want another chance to go ballistic with this team. I feel there are things that I have left undone and that has led me to remain with the club," Kanemoto said.

Kanemoto saw his Japanese baseball record streak of playing in consecutive games without missing an inning snapped at 1,492 in April after suffering from a right shoulder injury.

He still played in all 144 games but hit just .241 with 16 home runs.
