Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf turned back the clock and scored a season-high 19 points to lead the Kyoto Hannaryz to a 98-76 road win over the Rizing Fukuoka on Friday night in the bj-league.
Abdul-Rauf, 41, made 7 of 13 field-goal attempts and was 4-for-4 at the free-throw line. The former NBA guard and LSU All-American also had three steals and two assists as the Hannaryz (4-6) earned a series split.
Michael Fey posted a double-double (15 points, 11 rebounds and Sunao Murakami and Reggie Warren each scored 13. Murakami was 4-for-5 from the field and 5-for-6 at the line.
Kyoto led 43-36 at halftime.
Michael Parker paced the Rizing (6-4) with 28 points and 12 rebounds, while Nile Murry scored 15 and Jun Nakanishi had 11. Fukuoka was 1-for-13 on 3-point shots.
