Hisashi Takayama homered twice and drove in three runs, Fumiya Nishiguchi threw six scoreless innings and the Seibu Lions beat the Orix Buffaloes 6-1 to win their eighth consecutive game on Sunday.

Takayama hit a two-run shot off Shogo Yamamoto (7-9) in the second before taking the lefty deep with a leadoff blast in the fifth for a 3-0 lead at Seibu Dome. The first-place Lions won eight straight for the first time in four years.

Nishiguchi (2-2) allowed two hits, struck out seven and walked one. Takuya Hara, Tatsuyuki Uemoto and Tomoaki Sato each had RBI singles in the sixth. Tomotaka Sakaguchi hit an RBI triple for Orix.
