Center Chris Holm, one of the bj-league's premier inside players over the past two seasons, has re-signed with the Sendai 89ers for the upcoming season, the bj-league team announced Monday night.
Holm led the league in rebounding in 2008-09 (15.6 rebounds per game). Last season, he was No. 2 in the league at 13.8 rpg. to go along with 13.8 points per game. He also averaged 2.3 assists and 1.4 blocks, helping Sendai post a 35-17 record and advance to the playoffs.
Holm attended Rhode Island (2002-04) and finished his collegiate career at Vermont. He was the second-leading rebounder in NCAA Division I ball (12.2 rpg) as a senior in 2006-07.
