Takashi Toritani went 3-for-3 with two RBIs as the Hanshin Tigers overcame six home runs by the Chunichi Dragons to post an 8-7 victory on Sunday.
Toritani singled in two runs in the sixth inning to extend Hanshin's lead to 8-5 at Koshien Stadium.
Chunichi drew within a run in the eighth on back-to-back homers from Masahiko Morino and Tony Blanco. Morino had three solo home runs.
