Kazuhiro Wada hit a tiebreaking solo homer in a five-run seventh inning, leading the Chunichi Dragons to a 6-3 win over the Yomiuri Giants on Friday.

Wada gave Chunichi the lead for good at 2-1 with a shot over the left-field wall off Dicky Gonzalez (3-8) at Nagoya Dome.

The Dragons added three consecutive two-out RBI singles from Takehiro Donoue, Masahiro Araki and Yohei Oshima. Wada then drove in another run in the inning with a bases-loaded infield single.

Kazuki Yoshimi (8-4) held Yomiuri to one run on four hits in seven innings. Hitoki Iwase picked up his Japanese baseball-leading 25th save.
