Japan goalkeeper Eiji Kawashima will move to Belgian side Lierse SK and his Kawasaki Frontale teammate Chong Tese is set to join German club VfL Bochum, senior Kawasaki official Haruo Shoji said Friday.

Kawashima helped Japan advance past the group stage. Forward Chong played for North Korea at the World Cup finals in South Africa.

Kawashima, 27, is scheduled to leave for Belgium on Tuesday and Chong, 26, will fly to Germany on Wednesday.

Each player will sign a contract, pending a physical.

In Belgium, Lierse has won promotion back to the first division for the coming season.
