Alex Ramirez homered three times as the Yomiuri Giants hit a club record-tying eight home runs in a 12-9 win over the Hiroshima Carp on Tuesday.
Ramirez had solo shots in his first three at-bats and finished the night 4-for-5 with four RBIs at Mazda Stadium.
The Venezuelan slugger just missed what would have been his fourth homer of the game when his fly ball hit the left-center wall in the sixth inning, ending up with a run-scoring double.
