Kazuyuki Hoashi carried a shutout into the eighth inning and Dee Brown homered twice to drive in four runs as the Seibu Lions routed the Chunichi Dragons 8-0 in interleague action on Saturday.
Hoashi (6-2) struck out nine and allowed five hits and three walks in 7 2/3 innings at Seibu Dome.
Takeya Nakamura's sacrifice fly opened the scoring in the third and Brown followed with a two-out three-run drive to center off Kenichi Nakata (0-1) for a 4-0 lead.
