Hayato Sakamoto homered twice and Shugo Fujii pitched seven solid innings as the Yomiuri Giants trounced the Saitama Seibu Lions 9-1 on Thursday.
Sakamoto led off a six-run third inning with a shot over the wall to right and added a two-run blast to left in the fifth in interleague play at Tokyo Dome.
Fujii (3-1) held Seibu to one run and five hits, striking out nine without a walk.
