Hideaki Wakui pitched a one-hitter for his first shutout of the season as the Saitama Seibu Lions beat the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks 4-0 to move atop the Pacific League.

Wakui's no-hit bid ended when Lee Bum Ho led off the ninth with a double to left at Yahoo Dome. The 2009 Sawamura Award winner walked two and struck out six in a 116-pitch outing.

"Even though I missed a no-hitter, I'm happy I got a win because I hadn't won for a while (since April 16)," said Wakui, who improved to 4-2. "My fastball was on tonight. Their No. 3 and cleanup hitters are hitting well, so I tried to keep them off-balance."

Takeya Nakamura had a pair of RBI singles in the first and fifth innings.
