Michihiro Ogasawara went 4-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs, Shinnosuke Abe also drove in two runs and the Yomiuri Giants beat the Yokohama BayStars 4-2 on Wednesday.
Ogasawara opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning and pushed the Giants' lead to 4-2 with a leadoff shot to right in the fifth at Wakasa Stadium.
Abe had a run-scoring double in the first and a tiebreaking single in the third.
Dicky Gonzalez (2-2) allowed two runs and four hits in five innings for the win. Hayato Terahara was charged with four runs in six innings.
