LONDON (AP) The brother of Manchester United striker Mame Biram Diouf is recovering from an attack by rival fans outside Manchester City's stadium on Saturday.
Abdul Diouf watched United win 1-0 with an injury-time goal before a group of home fans spotted the United shirt he was wearing as he left. They punched and kicked him to the ground.
His shirt was adorned with the No. 32 his brother wears for United. The number was previously worn at United by Argentina striker Carlos Tevez before his contentious cross-city transfer to City in July.
Diouf's agent Jim Solbakken says the player's brother is fine and that "the case is closed."
Solbakken added that "he was walking about in a Manchester United shirt. It wasn't a smart thing to do."
