Atsunori Inaba hit a grand slam in the fifth inning to make a winner of Yu Darvish as the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters rallied to beat the Seibu Lions 8-5 on Saturday.

Inaba connected off Hsu Ming-chieh (1-2) with the bases loaded and two outs to give Nippon Ham a 6-5 lead at Seibu Dome. The struggling Fighters snapped a four-game losing streak.

"I'm glad I came through in that bases-loaded situation," said Inaba, who recently missed five games because of a sore back. "My back is fine now. The team is losing, but we all know what we have to do for the team. We are still nine games below .500. We'll just take one game at a time in our comeback attempt."
