Kenji Johjima hit a towering grand slam to cap a five-run first inning as the Hanshin Tigers beat the Yakult Swallows 5-1 to snap a three-game losing streak on Saturday.
After an RBI single by Tomoaki Kanemoto, Johjima sent a 1-2 fastball from Yoshinori Sato (1-1) over the center-field wall at Koshien Stadium.
"It was my first home run at Koshien. Of course, I'm excited," the former Seattle Mariners catcher said.
