Aaron Guiel and Atsushi Kinugawa each homered and drove in three runs as the Tokyo Yakult Swallows routed the Hanshin Tigers 8-3 on Friday at Koshien Stadium.

Guiel homered off Yuya Ando (1-1) to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 4-2 lead in the sixth inning. Backup catcher Kinugawa hit a solo homer in the seventh for his second career home run and added a two-run triple in the eighth.

Tony Barnette (2-0) allowed three runs and eight hits over six innings. Hanshin lost its third straight game.

At Yokohama Stadium, Daisuke Miura threw six shutout innings in his season debut and Terrmel Sledge drove in two runs as Yokohama downed Hiroshima.

At Fukuoka's Yahoo Dome, Toshiya Sugiuchi struck out 10 in his first shutout of the season and Munenori Kawasaki hit a two-run homer among his three hits, leading the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks to a one-sided win over Hokkaido Nippon Ham.

At Chiba Marine Stadium, Chiba Lotte chased Saitama Seibu ace Hideaki Wakui from the game after three innings en route to its sixth win in eight games.

Backup outfielder Takumi Kobe capped a six-run first inning with a three-run homer. Shoitsu Omatsu hit a solo home run in the fifth and finished with three RBIs.

Buffaloes 8, Eagles 3

At Sendai's Kleenex Stadium, Shogo Akada homered twice and drove in four runs, Hirotoshi Kitagawa went 3-for-5 with three RBIs, and Orix defeated Tohoku Rakuten.
