SAITAMA (Kyodo) FC Tokyo striker Kentaro Shigematsu scored on his debut to complete a 2-0 win over nine-man Omiya Ardija in the J. League on Sunday.

Omiya had An Yong Hak and Mato Neretljak sent off in an ugly first half at Nack5 Stadium, and the home side's resistance was broken when Yasuyuki Konno opened the scoring on 61 minutes.

Shigematsu looked lively after coming on for Hokuto Nakamura and the 18-year-old's header sealed the points 11 minutes from time, consigning Omiya to its third consecutive defeat in the process.

"I was really up for it," said Shigematsu. "I was told to take care not to run around in circles, stay calm and try and put the ball in the net. I am delighted to score."

In the day's other game, Ryang Yong Gi scored two penalties to earn Vegalta Sendai a 2-2 draw at Gamba Osaka.
