Spring training camps are finished, we're into the exhibition season and Opening Day is less than two weeks away, as the Pacific League gets set for its lid-lifters on March 20.
While we were away for the Vancouver Olympics break, the Baseball Bullet-In took off for points south to visit the spring training camp sites of half the Central and Pacific League teams. Following are some news items and observations picked up in Miyazaki and Okinawa.
We saw the workouts of the Yomiuri Giants, Fukuoka Softbank Hawks, Yokohama BayStars, Tokyo Yakult Swallows, Chunichi Dragons and Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles.
