Japan's curlers have set themselves a fresh goal of making the last four of next month's women's world championship after they were eliminated in the round-robin stage at the Vancouver Games.
"We want to set ourselves the target we failed to achieve here of advancing past the round-robin stage," skip Moe Meguro told a news conference Saturday.
Team Aomori's campaign ended last Tuesday after it was beaten 10-6 by Sweden, which went on to retain its Olympic title. The Japanese finished the tournament with a 3-6 record.
"They (the Swedes) looked like champions from the first round. I want the experience that brings that kind of confidence," said Mari Motohashi.
The women's world championship gets under way in Swift Current, Canada, on March 20.
