Taishiro Shimizu sank two free throws with 4 seconds left to lift the Saitama Broncos to a 77-75 overtime win over the host Ryukyu Golden Kings on Sunday.

Teammate Mario Jointer, who scored 18 points, forced overtime by draining a 3-point shot with 15.5 seconds left in the fourth quarter. That made it 68-68.

Terrence Woodyard paced Saitama (9-11) with 21 points, frontcourt mate Terrence Roberts pulled down 12 rebounds, Shimizu had nine points and Daiki Terashita scored eight.

Reigning bj-league MVP Jeff Newton had team-high totals in points (24) and rebounds (18) for Ryukyu (17-5). Tsubasa Yonamine finished with 17 points, six rebounds and five assists and George Leach had a 12-point game.

Also Sunday, Antonio Burks had 21 points and Yuichi Ikeda poured in 18 to lead the Niigata Albirex BB to an 87-69 road win over the Toyama Grouses.

Point guard Akitomo Takeno dished out seven assists for Niigata (10-10), which had five double-digit scorers. Kirby Lemons had 20 points, Brandon Thomas scored 18 and Takeshi Mito had 10 for Toyama (9-11).
