A number of major league clubs have expressed interest in acquiring veteran outfielder So Taguchi, his agent Alan Nero said Sunday.

"We'll meet with a number of teams during the Winter Meetings and we'll decide to put together a list of things Taguchi is looking for sometime this week. We should have some sort of a decision by the end of the week," Nero was quoted as saying.

The 40-year-old Taguchi was released by the Chicago Cubs in mid-October.

He spent 10 seasons with the Orix Buffaloes before joining the St. Louis Cardinals in 2002 in a free agent deal. Taguchi is a career .279 hitter in the major leagues with 19 home runs and 163 RBIs in 672 games.
