Free agent middle infielder Atsushi Fujimoto joined the Yakult Swallows on Monday on a two-year, ¥100 million deal.

"I will give everything I have built up until now and hope to make a contribution to the team," Fujimoto said at a press conference.

Fujimoto, who agreed to terms with Yakult last week, will be hoping to earn more playing time after being limited to 47 games for the Hanshin Tigers this past season.

The 32-year-old is a .256 career hitter with 11 homers and 181 RBIs in 843 games over nine years, all with Hanshin.
