Japan Series MVP Shinnosuke Abe re-signed with the Yomiuri Giants on Wednesday, putting pen to paper on a three-year deal with the club holding an option for a fourth year.

Abe, who decided earlier this month to stay with the Giants and not file for free agency, will earn an estimated ¥350 million next year, ¥80 million more than last season.

"I intend to make Yomiuri my final home," he said. "The main thing I insisted on was having my results determine my wages."

"My target for next year is a .300 batting average and 30 home runs," said Abe, who hit two homers, including a "sayonara" homer in Game 5, and had five RBIs in the Japan Series.

Abe, 30, went .293 with 32 homers and 76 RBIs this season.
