Former J. League giants Tokyo Verdy have survived the danger of being forced out of the league after meeting sponsorship revenue requirements for next season.

On Tuesday, the J. League approved second-division Tokyo Verdy's 2010 operational plans, paving the way for them to continue playing in the league.

The J. League told Tokyo Verdy's new management company two months ago that they need to secure sponsorship revenue of at least ¥540 million, otherwise they have to leave.
