Yomiuri Giants right-hander Yuya Kubo and outfielder Ryuichi Kajimae have been infected with the H1N1 influenza virus, the Central League club said Tuesday.

Kubo, who could pitch sometime in the Climax Series second stage beginning Wednesday, complained of fever Monday night and tested positive for the new flu in a Tokyo hospital on Tuesday.

Kajimae tested positive in Miyazaki, where he is participating in farm team competition.
