Demetrius Guions scored 21 points and tough-as-nails center Chris Holm pulled down 22 rebounds and handed out a game-best five assists to lead the Sendai 89ers to 76-54 victory over the host Saitama Broncos on Thursday.
The 89ers improved to 3-0 in the bj-league, jumping out to a 38-16 advantage at the half. Sendai outscored Saitama 23-2 in the second quarter.
Gyno Pomare added 17 points and fellow newcomer Michael Peeples had 16 for the 89ers.
Terrence Woodyard paced the Broncos (0-1) with 12 points, while Mario Jointer and Taishiro Shimizu had 10 apiece.
