LONDON (AP) England coach Fabio Capello dropped under-performing Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster from the squad to face Ukraine and Belarus in World Cup qualifying games and recalled veteran keeper David James on Sunday.
Foster has made a string of errors and looked hesitant playing for United this season while James returned after injury for the first time since April.
After eight straight Group 6 wins, England has already qualified for the World Cup. But Capello will be using the last two qualifiers to help decide the squad he takes to South Africa next June.
Capello has recalled Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor, who made his second England appearance in February but is without Jermain Defoe because of injury while Theo Walcott and Joe Cole are left out because they have only just returned from lengthy layoffs.
