Kazuyuki Hoashi pitched his second shutout of the season and Yoshihito Ishii went 3-for-4 with an RBI as the Saitama Seibu defeated the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks 6-0 on Friday.
Hoashi (8-5) scattered four hits, all singles, struck out eight and walked none. Ishii broke a scoreless tie with an RBI double in a five-run fourth inning at Seibu Dome.
Takahiko G.G. Sato and Tatsuyuki Uemoto had run-scoring singles in the inning. Justin Germano (5-4) lasted only 3 2/3 innings.
