Michihiro Ogasawara and Alex Ramirez drove in two runs apiece as the Yomiuri Giants completed a three-game sweep of the Chunichi Dragons with a 4-2 win Thursday.

The Giants now have a magic number of 26 to clinch their third straight Central League title after winning five in a row and eight of nine games.

Ogasawara hit a two-run homer to give Yomiuri a 2-0 lead in the third inning and become the 36th player in Japanese baseball history to reach 1,000 career RBIs.
