Japan led 17-0 after one quarter and 42-17 at halftime.
Ken Takeda added 11 points, while Joji Takeuchi had 10 points and 12 rebounds in 17 minutes for Japan, which secured the victory at the free-throw line (18-for-21) in the Group E contest.
On Monday, Japan lost 101-71 to defending continental champion Iran in the teams' first second-round game.
