Tony Blanco hit his Central League-leading 22nd homer and Takashi Ogasawara threw six shutout innings as the Chunichi Dragons beat the Hanshin Tigers 4-1 to extend their winning streak to eight games, their longest in four seasons.
Blanco broke a scoreless deadlock in the sixth inning with a towering three-run shot to left-center, on a 2-2 slider from Shinobu Fukuhara (3-6) at Nagoya Dome.
Motonobu Tanishige's RBI groundout made it 4-0 in the inning before Hanshin got one back on Takashi Toritani's leadoff homer in the seventh.
Ogasawara (3-1) held Hanshin to five hits, all singles, walking two and striking out five. Closer Hitoki Iwase pitched the ninth for his 21st save.
