TOYOTA, Aichi Pref. KODO — South Korea's Lim Eun A won her second career Japan LPGA title Sunday, beating Yuko Mitsuka with a par on the third hole of a playoff at the Chukyo TV Bridgestone Ladies Open.
Lim sank a short par putt on the third extra hole — the par-4 18th — after Mitsuka overshot the green with her second shot and settled for bogey at Chukyo Golf Club.
The 25-year-old picked up her first win since the Vernal Ladies a year ago and earned ¥12.6 million in prize money.
"I'm thrilled. I kept making good shots and putts this week. I wasn't nervous in the first playoff of my career," Lim said.
In regulation, Lim made three birdies in a four-hole stretch from No. 13 to tie Mitsuka for the lead at 8-under. Both players bogeyed the 17th and parred the 18th before the playoff.
