J.R. Sakuragi scored 20 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead five players in double figures as the Aisin Sea Horses defeated the Hitachi Sunrockers 81-71 in Game 3 of the Japan Basketball League finals on Sunday in Tokyo.
Aisin, the defending champion, holds a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series.
Kosuke Takeuchi added 18 points and 16 rebounds and Shinsuke Kashiwagi (13 points), Daryn Selvy (12) and David Young (11) also had double-digit scoring outings.
The Sea Horses made 7 of 17 3-point shots and held the Sunrockers to 7-for-26 from 3-point range.
