The Sendai 89ers earned an 88-79 victory over the Hamamatsu Higashimikawa Phoenix on Saturday night, snapping the hosts' 10-game winning streak.
Small forward Bobby St. Preux keyed the Sendai offense with 22 points to go along with five rebounds and five assists. Center Chris Holm had another super game inside, stuffing the stat sheet with 20 points and 22 rebounds, while Rodney Webb had a 17-point, nine-rebound game as his new team improved to 3-0 since he left the Toyama Grouses. Kenichi Takahashi and Hikaru Kusaka both scored 10 points.
