LIMERICK, Ireland (AP) Joe Rokocoko's try four minutes from the end helped New Zealand edge European champion Munster 18-16 on Tuesday and avoid repeating it's famous loss to the Irish rugby club 30 years ago.
Rokocoko was the only leftover from the All Blacks side which beat Ireland in Dublin last Saturday, but Munster didn't have 10 first-choice players for its first game in more than three weeks.
Even so, Munster led 16-10 at halftime and 16-13 approaching full-time at Thomond Park, until Mils Muliaina unleashed Rokocoko, who rounded former All Black Doug Howlett and dragged over Peter Stringer for the winning score.
