John "Helicopter" Humphrey scored 44 points to help the Tokyo Apache snap a three-game losing streak, beating the visiting Sendai 89ers 89-84 on Saturday at Ariake Colossuem.
Humphrey, who led the league in scoring in each of its first two seasons, scored 30 points on Oct. 18, but was held to a combined 30 points in the past two games. He also had 10 rebounds in the Apache's first home game of the 2008-09 season.
Forward Tizzo Johnson added 14 points for Tokyo (2-3), while Masashi Joho and Nick Davis scored eight apiece.
