Second-seed Sony Dwi Kuncoro of Indonesia beat top seed and world No. 1 Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia 21-17, 21-11 Sunday to win the men's singles final at the Yonex Open Japan badminton tournament.

Wang Yihan, winner at last year's University Games, took the women's singles title after a 21-19, 17-21, 21-15 win over Zhou Mi of Hong Kong at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.

Danish pair Lars Paaske and Jonas Rasmussen, who finished fourth at last month's Beijing Olympics, downed Indonesia's Muhammad Ahsan and Bona Septano 21-17, 15-21, 21-13 in the men's doubles final.

The women's doubles final saw Cheng Shu and Zhao Yunlei prevail 21-19, 5-21, 21-18 over Chin Eei Hui and Wong Pei Tty of Malaysia. Muhammad Rijal and Vita Marissa of Indonesia claimed the mixed doubles crown.
